Followers

The Followers section in Branchcast allows you to view, manage, and import followers for your account. Followers are individuals who subscribe to your content feeds and receive updates from your organization.

Accessing Followers

To manage your followers, go to Data > Followers.
From this page, you can:

  • View a list of all followers
  • Delete followers
  • Import followers from another platform

Followers List

The Followers list displays key information for each follower:

  • Name – follower’s first and last name
  • Email – follower’s email address
  • Accepted – indicates if the follower has accepted your invitation (True/False)
  • Followed Feeds – lists the feeds the follower is subscribed to
  • Actions – includes the option to Delete a follower

Import Followers

You can import your followers or subscribers from another platform, such as Mailchimp, into Branchcast.

To import followers:

  1. Click Import Followers.
  2. Review the import chart to ensure your file is formatted correctly.
    • The chart lists each available column, whether it’s required, a description of the data, expected values, and any prepopulated feed options.
  3. Click Download Template to download the CSV template.
  4. Add your follower data to the template.
    • Available columns:
      • Email (required)
      • First Name
      • Last Name
      • Feeds
      • Opt In
  5. Click Choose File to select your CSV file.
  6. Click Import to upload your data.

Confirmation and Emails

After the import:

  • Followers who have already opted in will receive a confirmation email.
  • Followers who have not yet opted in will receive an invitation to follow your account.

Before these emails are sent, you will have the opportunity to confirm that your data imported correctly. Please review the displayed information carefully before finalizing.

Notes

  • Only the Email column is required for import.
  • Ensure your file is saved as a CSV (.csv) before importing.
  • You can delete a follower at any time from the Actions column.
  • Imported feeds must match existing feed names in your Branchcast account.
